  • For one Zumba Fitness allows you to feel like you’re in a night club instead of an exercise class. What it does not do, is, it does not teach you a particular style completely. It uses great spicy Latin music and Latin dance styles fusing it with fitness. In Zumba you work out from head to toe using muscles you never would have in a normal gym class. In one class we do about 12 songs back to back burning about 700-1000 calories in just one hour of pure fun.

  • Zumba Fitness has gained lot of popularity in the recent past. I started Zumba Fitness classes in 2010 and back then people were just getting to hear about this new form of workout. Through 2011-2013 there was an outburst of classes all over the city and it took over Mumbai by a storm. To me, it surely is the beginning of an all new way of living. It is definitely one of the huge trends of 2014 and something people should look forward to.

 

Can one burn 600-1,000 calories per hour while doing Zumba?

  • Absolutely. One can burn upto 1000 calories in one hour of a Zumba Fitness class. Obviously this clearly depends on the intensity one puts in during the work out.

 

Is it a total body workout?

  • Yes, Ofcourse. Zumba uses all the basic fitness formulas. OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY

WEIGHT LOSS EFFECTS AND HEALTH BENEFITS OF ZUMBA FITNESS – A CASE STUDY will focus on:

1) The effect Zumba Fitness has on Weight Loss.

2) The effect of Zumba Fitness on Fat Loss.

3) The effect of Zumba Fitness in Muscle Gain.

4) The effect of Zumba Fitness on Upper and Lower Body Flexibility.

5) The effect of Zumba Fitness on Upper and Lower Body Strength.

6) The effect on Zumba Fitness on BMI.

7) The effect of Zumba Fitness on Endurance.

 

PARTICIPATION: The study would commence in the 2 participants. The participants of this study must be women, between the age group of 25-40, currently not following any fitness or diet routine, and mainly with NO major health conditions which could worsen with heightened activity. 2nd week of July and it would require a total of 75

COURSE AND DURATION OF THE STUDY: This study will be typically concentrated on Zumba Fitness Classes conducted by ZIN Swetha Jairam, which would be held thrice a week for a minimum duration of three months comprising of 36 classes. Each class would be typically a one hour class comprising of 10min Warm Up, 45 min of Zumba Fitness Class and 5-7min of Cool Down. Each and every participant will also be provided by a specific diet by our nutrition experts which would aide them in the process of weight loss. Each class will be well crafted by the Fitness Experts so as to attain maximum results in Fat Loss.
